  • Pronunciation: n(y)oo-urth
  • IPA: /njuːɜːθ/

Information

Newerth takes about 365¼ days to orbit around the sun, and has 24 hours in a day, similar to Earth.

The seasons on this planet are similar to those on Earth.

  • Spring is September, October and November in the Northern Hemisphere, and March, April and May in the Southern Hemisphere.
  • Summer is December, January and February in the Northern Hemisphere, and June, July and August in the Southern Hemisphere.
  • Autumn is March, April and May in the Northern Hemisphere, and September, October and November in the Southern Hemisphere.

Moons

Newerth has two moons. Megane is the "Northern Moon", visible from the equator and the Northern Hemisphere, while Kaya is the "Southern Moon", visible from the equator and the Southern Hemisphere.

Continents

Newerth has eleven continents, though one of them is man-made. Thus, Newerth has ten natural continents, two of which are sky continents.

Mythology

Newerth also has its own myths and legends.

The Eight Cities of Neia

Neia is the name of the person who first united Newerth when an ancient evil called Trycin tried to engulf the world in an eternal night two millennia ago. In honor of Neia's deeds, the Eight Cities of Neia were constructed. In 2016, however, it was declared that there are, in fact, Eleven Cities of Neia. With exception of the sky continents' cities, and Lavender City, they are all coastal cities. All cities of Neia share a colorful theme name.

The Eight Heroes

One millennium ago, an ancient evil calling itself Dracura had attempted to take over the world, attempting a ritual to become immune to the traditional weaknesses of a vampire. However, eleven heroes from the eleven continents stood up against him, and, at the cost of their own lives, defeated Dracura. Since then, their home villages were renamed after them, and shrines have been built in their honor. Each hero had their own legendary weapons. As of late 2016, eleven continents are known to exist, making the title incorrect.
